EcoTermales sits on Vía 142 in La Palma, on the road that runs out of La Fortuna toward the volcano, the same corridor as most of the region's thermal water. It is the small, quiet one of La Fortuna's big three hot springs, and it is quiet on purpose: you do not simply turn up and pay. You book one of two fixed time slots in advance, and when that slot is full, it is full.
That design is the whole product. Eight pools, water between 32 and 41 °C (90 to 106 °F), a freshwater waterfall and cold pool for when the heat gets to be too much, and a number of people in the water that someone has decided on in advance. There are no slides and there is no swim-up bar scene. If you were hoping for either, this is not your place, and that is worth knowing before you spend $49.
What follows is the practical detail: the two slots, the price, the eight pools, and the meal that turns a $49 ticket into an $81 one.
